Palmer Timber was established by William Henry Palmer, based in Old Hill and focused on dealing in homegrown hardwoods.
In the early 1970s William’s grandson “Bill” began to import timber from Scandinavia and North America which led to significant growth in the business.
Palmers used this opportunity to expand, modernise their facilities and machinery which is still very much part of the business today.
The Company invested heavily in a new 8,000 square-feet, modern window and door production facility, using the latest woodworking machines to produce some of the highest quality doors and windows in the industry.
The introduction of our “hand sprayed” buildings. Our paint spraying shop is one of the most advanced spraying and drying facilities in the garden building industry.
